How to fill in the file for importing zones? Instructions for surveyors

As mentioned in our article: Construction project in the buildibox application - this is the starting point, a crucial aspect in preparing an infrastructure project for work within the BuildiBox system is uploading essential construction coordinates that define relevant zones. Here are the instructions for surveyors on how to prepare a file for importing zones.

Thanks to our solution and the assistance of a surveyor working on the contract, we can "transfer" the construction site into the system. This way, we gain control over whether the material has reached the right place and obtain information on the quantity of deliveries to specific sections.

If you are involved in the surveying service for the contract, follow the scheme below.

  1. Establish with the contract how the construction zones should be defined.

A construction zone, as mentioned earlier, is an area within a construction project such as a bridge structure, concrete plant, asphalt plant, quarry, aggregate storage, or simply a section of the main route. It is important to determine whether the contractor wants to supervise the construction:

  • in sections of the main route and any bridge structures

  • into divided construction sections, for example into two parts: section I, section II
  • in any other desired arrangement of zones.

  1. Download the *.xls file to enter project data.

How should the file be filled out:

Column A - here, you will fill in the name of the zone as you want it to appear in the settlements later. For example, if we divide the construction into zones (rectangles) of 500 meters along the route, the names could look like this: TG_0.0_0.5 or Warehouse No.1 (TG - Trasa Główna pl; Main Route)

Column B - here should be general names of zones, for example: ZONE 1, ZONE 2, ZONE 3, ..., or simple numbering 1, 2, 3,...

Column C - fill in the coordinates of each area (zone) in this column. Always proceed in order:

                                                 LONGITUDE ➡️ LATITUDE

IMPORTANT!:

  • the first and last point is the same,
  • a zone can be any polygon,
  • the zones should be expanded by     approximately 30 meters on each side,
  • zones can overlap (for example the main route and a bridge structure), the system will then select the smaller zone.

Column D - if you know that a particular zone will be for loading, write "TAK" (must be written in Polish); if not, skip this column and leave the cell blank.

Column E - if you know that a particular zone will be for unloading, write "TAK" (must be written in Polish); if not, skip this column and leave the cell blank.
