Construction project in the BuildiBox application - This is the starting point

The BuildiBox system tackles a wide range of problems associated with the specifics of construction work and is designed specifically for the industry. Thanks to it, we can eliminate the “manual entry” position, thereby reducing labour costs, accurately account for machine usage, generate comprehensive reports with valuable data, have live visibility of every equipped vehicle, check historical data, and completely eliminate paperwork. There are many advantages to our solution, but an important factor is also the contribution that the client must make for everything to work properly.

What is a zone?

The system relies on data collected by our devices, and for this data to be valuable, it must be gathered under certain conditions - one of them is presence in the zone. A zone is an area defined by the system user where we declare that vehicles will operate. Introducing zones into the application is extremely important at a very early stage, so if you are a user wondering where to start, this is the place to begin.

Types of zones

We can categorise zones in various ways, primarily based on their function, including:

• base

• loading zone

• unloading zone

• access road

Unloading zone added by the import of geographical coordinates from a file

What benefits does zoning provide us?

The basis for recognising the route is loading in the unloading zone and unloading in the unloading zone. If the devices detect one of the two but outside the zones, the route will not appear in the manager; this is one of the main reasons why defining zones is essential.

The second reason will be work time monitoring. By introducing zones, we can easily check where the vehicles designated to work for us are located and how much time they spent in the zones that we defined. A great tool that complements this functionality is the reports, specifically one of them - the Zone Visit Report.

How to "transfer" a construction project to the application? - Our solution

However, we know that on very large construction sites, manually entering zones can be too time-consuming and quite imprecise. In response, we decided to offer a solution by allowing the import of zones from a file that we share. What does it mean?

We enabled our clients to "transfer" their executive project to the application in just a few seconds. Even before the scheduled implementation, we send the client a "template," which they provide to the surveyor from their contract. Then, this file is filled out according to a specific template with geographic coordinates and the names of individual sections based on the construction project and then sent back to us for import into the application. This way, you can access the complete construction route for review directly within the application. From this point on, data for reports is collected and sorted according to the actual sections of the construction site instead of by addresses, which our system assigns automatically if no name is provided.

This is an essential basis for further exploration of the application. Most importantly, the data provided by the specialist is the most accurate, leaving no room for error. We essentially "transfer" the construction project of our contract onto the map in the application, giving us access to it at any time. We can see where and who is performing specific actions (loading, unloading, route, weighing, etc.).  From what our clients tell us, this offers them exceptional value.
